Hi neighbors!
My name is Byron Wild and I’m your new Environmental Committee chair. I’m really excited to work with all of you to make our neighborhood a beautiful and healthy place to live. I believe that connection, generosity, and care are the basis for building an ecologically resilient community.
I am taking a broad view of what the Environmental Committee could accomplish. Here are some directions I want the committee to explore:
|
| ● | Recycling and hazardous waste drives |
| ● | Trash pickups and invasive removals |
| ● | Alternative salting for winter |
| ● | Neighborhood reduce/reuse “garage” sale |
| ● | Tool library and skill share |
|
| ● | Composting |
| ● | Environmentally friendly mosquito control |
| ● | Tree replacement for dead or dying trees |
| ● | Plant swaps |
|
|
|
Join the committee
If you are inspired to take on any of these, or have ideas of your own, please get in touch. If you’d like to reach me before the 24th, you can email me directly.

You’re invited
The committee’s first meeting
I will be hosting the inaugural meeting of the committee at an afternoon fire pit at my house. Even if you do not want to officially join the committee, I encourage you to come and share your ideas and inspirations for the neighborhood. It will be kid-friendly, so bring your kiddos along too! If you plan to attend, please RSVP here.
